Rick Owens EDFU Woven denim skirt

This woven EDFU skirt trails floor length and has a long train. It is a triangular wrap around shape. It slopes from gathered draping that creates a short winged ruffle on the right hip, where it opens to a high split. It features a side zipper in the ruffle and tapers to a narrow, floor trailing, tip. 

This 18oz japanese selvedge denim had as slub texture and a water-based glossy lacquered finish. The denim is cut into strips and then sewn onto the base material off the grain which creates the intended fraying. 

The natural aspects of this fabric means the lacquered finish has peeled off in certain areas, exposing the underlying material and will continue to do so with wear and abrasion. This is an inherent characteristic of this type of treatment and is a desired a visual aspect which adds to the uniqueness of each piece and should not be considered a defect.
