Hakamas are a part of the Japanese sartorial tradition. This incarnation from Yohji Yamamoto’s spring/summer 2020 Pour Homme-collection stays true to this with ankle length, five pleats in the front, one in the back and an adjustable waist.
Yohji has also incorporated some small but important changes: While the tightening of the waist is usually done by several strings, Yohji has opted for three buttons on each side of the waist, which gives the size 3 an adaptability from size small to extra extra large.
Furthermore, these pants are meant to be worn on the hip rather than very high on the waist. Other features are two side pockets and two slanted and buttoned back pockets.
A zippered fly is hidden under one of the front pleats. Wear it old style: With an overlayed kimono tucked in, or change it up with oversized shirts or wide twees, or just let it flow under cascades of layers of different lengths.
With their ankle lenght hem, these are also a great choice for showing off your favourite footwear.
The pants have three adjustment buttons and the waist can vary from 42cm - 53cm. Measured flat.
Material: 57% triacetate, 43% polyester
