Wear it as a medium weight coat or a heavy cardigan, this piece from the Julius’ spring/summer 2020-collection is as versatile as it is elegant.
Cupro is sometimes referred to as vegan silk, because it feels soft and smooth like silk. But instead of using the thinner and shinier variant often found as linings on high end suiting jackets, JULIUS has opted for a much heavier and matter incarnation for this coat. It can be worn crinkled or steamed smooth, opened or buttoned to a V in the front.
Furthermore, the design and construction is truly clever and unmistakably JULIUS: Copious amounts of fabric flow from the front shoulders, down to each side where it creates wide swoops with lots of beautiful movement, depth and structure.
Inside these side swoops, the side pockets are neatly and invisible tucked away. The material then billows backwards from each side, forming a curved split in the back before conforming up to a double layer in the back.
Wear with Anything Yohji Yamamoto for a tailored look, or with draped low crotch pants or cupro pants from the same season paired with long shirts to create a more serene look.
Alternatively, wear over a tank top, fitted leather jacket and JULIUS cargo pants for the supervillain look.
Fabric: 43% cupro, 30% cotton, 27% linen
